Best Electric Car

Generally, when it comes to cars of the future, the first thing that comes to mind is electric cars. Then in recent years, automakers around the world, even for super-luxury brands, are racing to launch electric cars that are said to be best-in-class.

Some of the things you can get out of an electric car are fuel efficiency at maximum power, and of course a futuristic design. You no longer have to worry about choosing between a budget luxury car or a fast one, everything can be had in one package. But you have to admit, buying an electric car is still quite expensive. Some countries even offer tax incentives as compensation, one of which is because electric cars no longer contribute to “disease” in the air.

Finally, many consumers are slowly beginning to switch to electric cars to enjoy these benefits. Again, it’s not just about consumers in the mass car segment, even luxury and super-luxury car hunters are talking about moving to electric brackets. With so many electric cars being launched, there are plenty of options available too. We tried to round up some of the best electric vehicles in their class, whether in terms of speed, luxury, or perhaps the ones with the most mileage.

The Taycan is Porsche’s first sports car to be equipped with a 2-speed transmission with an 800 V electrical system. If you drive a Porsche Taycan, you are looking for a torque kick that can reach 1,050 Nm. Oh yes, one more thing, the Turbo S variant can continue to be driven up to a top speed of 260 km / hour.

On the other hand, Porsche is also among those that have a fairly fast battery charging time, to reach 80% power it only takes 22 minutes. Currently, the Porsche Taycan is available in several variants, starting with the Taycan 4S, Turbo and Turbo S. Almost all variants feature a futuristic exterior design and a sporty aura.

2. Tesla Model S Plaid

At the Battery Day event hosted by Elon Musk in September 2020, Tesla announced that it would launch a new model of the Tesla Model S Plaid. On the same occasion, the American company also began to place orders for the unit. Elon Musk presented that the Tesla Model S Plaid would have an efficient battery with other advantages.

One of the most important things about this vehicle is that it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 2 seconds. Although these figures are only statements and the Model S Plaid has not been officially released.

There is another important thing, the Tesla Model S Plaid has a range of up to 850 km. That means the Model S Plaid can travel twice as far as an electric car overall. Lastly, Elon Musk also claims that the Tesla Model S Plaid can be driven up to a maximum speed of 320 km / hour.

3. BMW i4

After launching several electric cars, perhaps the BMW i4 is one of the electric vehicles with a body that is not too big but the power it produces is not enough. The electric motor only works with a battery with a capacity of 80 kWh and produces up to 530 hp. Therefore, it is natural that acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is only achieved in 4 seconds. Not only that under full power conditions, the battery can take the BMW i4 to explore up to 600 km.

The BMW i4 has a sleek design with a new grille look, so those who like to be the center of attention will feel behind the wheel. Inside, the i4 uses white leather on the seating surfaces, rose gold accents on the door trims, and high-gloss wood on some cab corners.

4. BMW iX3

The iX3 is an electric version of the BMW X3 and is intended to provide a different driving experience than the gasoline model. The main focus is on the amazing performance and luxurious materials in the interior. But that doesn’t mean that this powered BMW X3 isn’t good, just that the electric version has a more interesting design touch. One of them is the design of the wheels, which tends to increase aerodynamics.

The ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h this car only takes 4.8 seconds. Another advantage that you get from BMW’s electric SUV is the performance that shows its top speed of 200 km / hour.

5. Tesla Model X

One of the advantages of a vehicle is its load capacity. Well, this Tesla Model X is probably one of the best when it comes to that. The reason is that the Model X has a 7-passenger configuration with an eye-catching door design.

7. Audi Q4 e-tron

Most luxury cars promise nimble handling, great power, and luxurious interiors. Unfortunately, not everyone can do this perfectly.

But for Audi this is a great investment. The reason is that when building its electric models, Audi uses Volkswagen’s special MEB platform. This results in an electric SUV that is both luxurious and powerful. Inside the distinctive interior of the Audi Q4 e-tron, it can accommodate up to four adults in a comfortable sitting position.

In terms of performance, the Q4 e-tron can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 6.3 seconds. For the size of an SUV that is quite large, this number is considered very fast. Even the Audi Q4 e-tron is capable of reaching a top speed of up to 180 km / h.

This is thanks to an electric motor that works with a battery with a capacity of 82 kWh and is capable of transporting the Q4 e-tron for a distance of 450 km. This year, the e-tron line was launched one by one, starting from the SUV segment, Sedan up to the e-tron Sportback version.

Battery charging only takes 45 minutes for a 0-80% battery. With this capital, it is claimed that the I-Pace can drive up to 406 km without recharging the battery. Jaguar also readjusted the electric motor’s capacity to produce 394 hp and 699 Nm of torque. This figure is much higher than that of the model with its conventional engine, the Jaguar F-Pace.

Even to reach the speed of 100 km / h from a standstill, the Jaguar I-Pace only takes 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 200 km / h. There are features to suit the needs of the I-Pace as an SUV, including the descent and climb scanner, right down to the headlamp design that uses self-adjusting LEDs.

The Mercedes-Benz EQC is built to Mercedes luxury standards with soft-touch materials. In addition, there are cabin entertainment services that are much more expensive than electric cars in general.

In fact, the Mercedes Benz EQC is also equipped with a screen-less head-up display and features like Apple Car Play and Wifi hotspot. Of course, you will be much busier enjoying the latest devices at EQC than your performance capabilities.

However, Mercedes-Benz still incorporates an electric motor that can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 4.8 seconds. While the mileage with a full battery capital can reach 321 km.

10. Lotus Evija

Most of today’s electric cars weigh in in terms of performance and cabin comfort. But unlike what the Lotus Evija did, the focus is only one, that is, the unlimited performance.

The Evija is a hypercar that is inspired by the design of a racing car designed to race on a circuit. All bodies are very aerodynamic with a very prominent hood design with firm lines. Additionally, Evija uses a door with a butterfly door design and additional wings on the back.

To support its very athletic appearance, the Lotus Evija is equipped with four electric motors capable of generating power of up to 2000 hp. In fact, the manufacturer claims that this is the most powerful electric car on the planet.
