Online Psychology Degree

Online Psychology Degree – Do you already know that as a psychologist you cannot complete your bachelor’s degree in a psychology department or degree straight away? Can graduates from this faculty only become psychologists or counselors? What about other possible professions?

The profession of a graduate of the department of psychology is closely related to his degree. And there are different kinds of psychology degrees in this world, you know. Did you know already?

1. Associate Degree

Basically, the diploma training corresponds to the bachelor’s degree in terms of the higher levels after the Abitur or equivalent training. The difference, of course, lies in the degree and duration of the studies. A degree in psychology means that in two or three years you will finish college without a degree.

Career prospects for a degree in psychology are usually in psychiatric clinics as a psychiatrist. And due to the limited employment opportunities, graduates with a degree in psychology generally aim to study at a bachelor’s level in the long term.

2. Bachelor degree

Compared to graduates, S1 alumni should have greater job opportunities. However, there are still many psychology graduates working in education, marketing, sales, and advertising – areas other than psychology.

Although we only have S.Psi, the Bachelor degrees abroad are divided into two areas: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Science (B.S.). B.A. lectures are based on a curriculum that makes it easy for students to explore all areas while the B.S. greater emphasis on science education. The duration of this course is around four years.

3. Master’s degree

Just like the Bachelor’s degree, the Master’s degree in Psychology Abroad is divided into the Master of Arts (M.A.) and the Master of Science (M.S.). In Germany, we have a Masters in Psychology (M.Psi) and a Masters in Psychology of Science (M.Si) with two or three years of study.

The master’s program prepares psychology students for the profession. The career prospects for graduates of the Master of Psychology extend to the fields of mental health services, government agencies, and the private sector. If possible, you can also become a lecturer. But the professions of the graduate psychology master are usually HRD managers, consultants, drug specialists, and so on.

4. Doctor of Philosophy

With a Ph.D. in psychology, you have a wider range of career opportunities. If your doctorate specializes in counseling or clinical psychology, you can work in psychotherapy or open your own practice after completing your training. Or, if you are more interested in education, research, or applied psychology, do a doctorate in experimental, organizational, developmental, or social psychology.

Carefully consider interest in working at this level. Because in addition to the course, which lasts up to five to seven years, your general orientation and approach to psychology is required at this level – applied, theoretical or research-oriented.

5. Doctor of Psychology

As an alternative to the Ph.D. The Doctor of Psychology is more geared towards the professional practice of psychology. Later, if you have a Psy.D in counseling or clinical psychology and have passed the certification exam, you have the right to diagnose and treat mental disorders, conduct psychological tests, and conduct psychotherapy.

To do this, you must first complete an internship (part-time employment) under the supervision of a certified psychologist. Then you must also complete an internship (full-time position) for at least one year. All of them, both the internship and the internship, is carried out in a clinical setting.

For the course itself, the Doctor of Psychology students must complete a four- to seven-year course and be trained in the implementation of clinical interventions, psychological examinations, and the diagnosis of mental illnesses.

These are the different levels of training in psychology in different parts of the world.
